This literally happened to me.

When I was losing my vision, it was hard to get any doctor to believe me or take my symptoms seriously. I went to so many specialists, until finally, they sent me to a “pediatric specialist” who gave me a full physical. Literally the first thing was “okay, hold this stick and cover your eye. Tell me what you see.”

“Not a fucking thing”

“What’s the biggest letter you can read.”

“There are letters?”

“The sign is literally right there.”

“Good for it.”

“You can’t see that?”

“Did you not listen to me say that I was referred to you because I’ve lost the ability to see?”

She told me to switch eyes.
