This is kousa and knefeh. The Kousa is a tiny stuffed squash that contains meat, seasoning, rice and pine nuts in a tomato broth. The Knefeh is sort of like a pastry, but it is a cheese baked in what seems to be a burned sugar crust. You pour a clear rose flavored syrup on it and eat it with a fork. It’s basically a cheese pancake with crust of sugar.

So good. Both so so good.
