Doesn’t look like a limerick to you? Try this:

A dozen, a gross, and a score
Plus three times the square root of four
Divided by seven
Plus five times eleven
Is nine squared and not a bit more.

THE HECK HECK HECK HECCCCCKKKKKKKK

POETRY WAS NOT MEANT TO BE USED LIKE THIS

Everything is mathematics. It isn’t a language. It’s the descriptive power of the universe acting upon your brain.

…..NO.

Yes. If you hate math, it is because you didn’t learn it properly. Math is philosophy. And we can go round and round on this, or you can accept what I say when I say that literally everything around you can be expressed with math, including what your brain and body are doing when you utilize language to write your clever limericks

I do, of course, accept this. To be honest, I had only one math teacher who ever took the time to make math interesting to me. I have a passion for languages, and he was able to relate that passion into his math teachings. It was the only math class I ever passed with flying colours. However; more complicated math that doesn’t involve money still tends to escape me to this day.

That’s. because you are being trained to be a human calculated, not to appreciate the utility and beauty of math. It truly is gorgeous.

Can I just say that my husband got his math degree writing a paper on the mathematical expression of why trees are beautiful.

And I wrote a book using Set Theory to explain biblical mythology…

Soooooo…

Stop letting public education train you to add shit together and think that’s all math is. It’s not. Adding gives anyone anxiety. It gives me a headache. I fucking hate basic math, but geometry…the existential and philosophical merits of limits…the derivation of the natural numbers from the empty set…god damn, that’s deep shit.

As good as any psychology or religion talk.

Real math IS POETRY. Go learn some of that. That’s good shit.
